The Science Textbook Caravan for the 2024-2025 school year is a joint collaborative event with Alabama's Regional Inservice Centers & Publishers' Warehouse, Alabama's textbook depository. The Caravan is an opportunity for school district delegations to rotate through scheduled presentations from each of the state-adopted publisher options for comprehensive instructional resources.
About the Caravan Stops
Each Caravan stop is a two-day collaborative event designed to provide you with essential information to help you select the best instructional resources for your school district's local adoption. One day will focus on Elementary (K-6) education, and the other day centers on Secondary (6-12) education. Sixth grade teachers are encouraged to attend the day that best aligns with their district’s grade span setup.
School districts are invited to send participants who will actively engage in reviewing and discussing the instructional resources presented, so that they may aid their district in making informed decisions for local adoption. Guiding questions will be provided to district teams to facilitate these discussions. Lunch is included at no cost, and participant registration is free of charge.
